Trenton Brown (wearing a UGA hat) Committed to the Gators Saturday

JuCo OT Trenton Brown and 2 Others Commit to Gators

Trenton Brown puts the "scary" in the Florida Gators scary-good recruiting class. According to ESPN's Derek Tyson, Brown confirmed with Kipp Adams that he is now committed to Florida:

With the recent addition of the 6'8", 350-pound offensive tackle, Florida's already-impressive class just took another step forward in becoming the best signing class in the country.

Heck, it already is.

According to ESPN's class rankings, the Gators have the No. 1 recruiting class in all of the land. Expect the Gators to gain a little separation after adding Brown, whom 247 Sports labeled a 4-star athlete.

The Gators' starting left tackle, Xavier Nixon, is a senior, so Florida needed to bring in an offensive tackle in the 2013 recruiting class. Just to give a sense of how large Brown is, he's two inches taller and 36 pounds heavier than Nixon.

Add in the fact that Brown is coming from Georgia Military College, a place that has provided great JUCO talent throughout the years, and Florida fans should be rejoicing for this pickup.

Seriously, this is a big-time addition for Will Muschamp and the Gators. So far, this class has been full of defensive playmakers, with a few offensive skill players here and there.

Before getting Brown to commit, the Gators only had two commitments on the offensive line—guards Carmeron Dillard and Octavius Jackson. Both, according to 247 Sports, are 3-star offensive linemen in their own rights.

All well, fine and dandy, but the Gators needed to grab an offensive linemen with some muster, with at least one more star to his name. Brown is that guy, and with his massive body frame, Muschamp should develop him into a great offensive tackle.

Think the offensive line isn't a point of emphasis for a team that likes to run the ball as much as the Gators?

Well, just like he has all season, Muschamp delivered in a big way.

The SEC better take notice real quick at what Muschamp and Florida are doing, because with this addition of an offensive tackle, there are no holes in this 2013 Florida recruiting class.

NOTE AFTER THE WRITING OF THIS ARTICLE: After Trenton Brown's commitment on Sunday, the Gators also landed a commitment from another Offensive Tackle. His name is Roderick Johnson (6'6"/315/OT/Delray Beach, FL) and he had previously decommited after the resignation of recruiting coordinator Aubrey Hill.

A third commitment came Sunday as well, but this one for the defensive side of the ball. Outside Linebacker Matt Rolin (6'4"/215/OLB/Briar Woods) decommitted from South Carolina and committed to play for the Gators.
