Gators Fall to #7 in Newest Polls
What a wild and wacky college basketball season it has been. It seems like just when a team makes it to the #1 or #2 slot, they are instantly knocked off by lower ranked opponent. Indiana remains the top team in the land in the latest poll while the Gators who had climbed to #2 have fallen back to #7. This is the result of an upset at the hands of Arkansas, even though the Gators recovered on Saturday to blow out Mississippi State at home.
Florida’s next opponent, the Kentucky Wildcats, have jumped back in the polls at #25. The biggest surprise is the Miami Hurricanes at #3. This is a very good Miami team that has knocked off then #1 Duke, #19 NC State, and North Carolina. This streak of wins has been dubbed the “Tobacco road takeover.”
The Kansas Jayhawks are on the worst skid, falling 9 spots caused by a three game losing streak.
