Notice Patrick is wearing a limited slip collar? This allows the collar to hang loose, but when tension is applied, like with a leash, or gangline, it tightens, but only to a certain point. He's got it because his brothers at the time, in the kennel, Siberian Huskies, wear them as well, they are necessary tack  for pulling the dogsleds....Photo taken c. 2007.
