Jeff Driskell playing time
Brantley played well, so this is not a post belittleing his performance by any stretch, but what did you guys think of Driskell's performance in the game?
The pick on the first drive was dissappointing, but I thought bounced back well in the fourth quarter, didnt you?

I'm all about building for the future. I would go as far as to say we should have abandoned Brantley (before Saturdays game, mind you) for a newer QB...but Brantley has instilled faith in me. Driskel threw an interception, so I'm obviously a little weary. Otherwise, however, I'm pretty stoked for our future.

I cant wait to see him in two years either; but I agree....this year is Brantleys year to prove the doubters wrong.

His pass to Debose was the future. I think he's going to be a potential heisman winner.

Driskell will come around and he'll learn a lot this year. I really liked Muschamp's comment on TV Sunday when he mentioned that he wanted to put him in when it still mattered so he could feel what its like.
Another thing I liked was looking to the sidelines when the defense was on the field and seeing Weis sitting with all 4 quarterbacks, talking them through the game and keeping all 4 engaged in what was happening on the field. I think that is something that has been lacking.
I also saw Weis pull Aubrey Hill and the offensive coaches over several times and firmly address them with some of the mistakes happening on the field. Against FAU those mistakes didn't hurt as bad as they would against Alabama or LSU.

He needs real time experience not mop up duty and brantley seemed more confident even when he threw the pick he did hold his head down

I kinda felt bad for Driskel.
I was surprised when they stuck him in there all of a sudden and it wasn't even the second half. No, it wasn't a high pressure situation, but he had to be nervous - dude forgot to put his mouthpiece in for chrissakes.
One pick for Driskel is OK, he's a freshman. It's the two picks by Brantley that is problematic. A senior QB shouldn't be throwing picks at an FAU defense.
