#1 Recruiting class in recruiting history?!?

After yesterday's amazing closeout of the 2010 recruiting season, the class is being dubbed as the best class in recruiting coverage history. What are your thoughts? My only problem is that I dont see the Percy Harvin, Tim Tebow, and Brandon Spikes that we saw in 2005.

Obviously, those names are well known b/c of the past 4 years they played at the college level, but I just dont see those 5 star studs at offensive positions like QB, MLB, and WR like we did that year. I see this years' 5-star studs at positions like Defensive Tackle, Safety, Defensive End, and Offensive Line.  Your thoughts on the difference between 5 stars at leadership positions vs. other positions.

Does it make a difference?

Got Championships? We do!

I was thinking the same thing. 5 star recruits at quarterback, wide reciever, running back, and tight end make a lot of difference and are game changers b/c they have the ball in their hands.

This is not to say Im not happy with the class. It just is to say that 2010 may have more "points" in recruiting than 2006, but i dont think it really can beat that class. Only time will tell though!

It's Great to be a Florida Gator!

well if you wanna base best recruiting classes off of stars, then FSU's 2002 class tops the GAYtors class with six 5 STARS and eleven 4 STARS. Not saying I agree with the stars they get in high school, but if you wanna go by that then chalk another one up to the NOLLLLLEESS

oh really? Its funny that the Nole class wasnt even MENTIONED in the discussion on ESPN. There was Texas, USC, and Florida. FSU wasn't even a debatable topic. I'm not sure why, but I can assure you they werent spoke of.

How many Championships did that 2002 class win, out of curiosity? Another one for the Noles? I think not. They havent one anything in years other than violations.

FSU, how does 5 in a row taste?

well i guess you dont read very well. i said based on stars, which i dont believe in. You never know how a kid is going to fit in at the college level. i was speaking on the bumber of stars because the first two posters were throwing out star talk
