f you haven't read this (http://www.gatortailgating.com/tailgating/tailgating-jacksonville) yet, you need too.
That will probably answer most of your questions. About parking, I think it mentions this in the article, but the best way to guarantee parking close to the stadum in a decent area would be to buy parking passes ahead of time. Other than that, just get there early and look for a spot. Some lots across from the stadium dont even open till 11am and Noon for late-goers, so there's no way to tell you where to park exactly without knowing if it'd be sold out or even opened by the time you get there. It's just a matter of getting their at the right time and payig the right price.

in 26 years of gator greatness I've never made it to a UF/UGa game in Jax, I saw them play in the SWAMP, but never in Jax, hoping to make it this year finally.

It's funny you say that. I haven't missed a UF / UGA game since like '88, and this year will be the first year I've had to miss one because Im in a friends'wedding. I even went to the game between the hedges when they were redoing the Gator Bowl for the Jags. I could go on a rant about this, but I will leave it at that....

Your best bet is to arrive at 800am downtown Sat morning...
Take I 10 to Union Street to the Stadium and drive around to the South end next to the TV Staion and look for parkin...The best lot is on the river east of teh Tv station....

Come at 8am and your still going to be a long way from the stadium more than likely. But it doesn't matter where you end up tailgating your gonna have a good time! This game has never let me down!

If you are from the Orlando area, I can offer you an even better solution! There is a bus charter going from Orlando directly to the Jax Municipal Stadium on 11/1/08 for fans that want to tailgate and see the game without any hassles/costs of driving and parking. Only $75 per person - - FootballClassic@a-uniqueevent.com for more information.

That is an awesome deal. Just the parking in Jacksonville alone will be $50, and the gas will cost way more than $25 to drive there and back. That doesn't even count the freedom of not having to drive there and back, worry about traffic, etc. I wish there was something like that in Gainesville!
One question though, how long before kickoff will you be arriving? Im just hoping you'll give everyone time to appreciate the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party! ;)

We are planning to arrive in Jax 4 hours prior to gametime, since most fans like to have plenty of time to wander around and enjoy all the tailgating... We think it's a great deal and want to spread the word so people know this is an option. We will do limos also, upon request, and at different price of course! If we get enough requests to run buses from Gainesville, we may do that too...
