'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the lot,
The party was ready - Oh what a tailgate we've got!
The grills are hot and the coals are glowing,
The beer is cold and definitely flowing.
We share stories with football buddies we’ve met,
Of victories and losses -
And some games we’d rather forget.
Then our talk turns to Santa
And his bag full of toys,
For men who love football, but act like small boys.
My list is short for the jolly old man,
And I’ve been as good as a TailGator can.
The list that follows is what I really wish for,
But if Santa has room, I could wish for more.
I’m not asking for much, just a few things I do need,
More extravagance would only evidence my greed.
So Santa, oh Santa, please grant me my wish,
But if you can’t - I’d settle for a blonde little dish.
Jolly Old Man in the big red suit,
I pray, oh I pray, that you’ll bring me my loot.
What I want for Christmas is listed right here,
Now I can relax and start drinking malted cheer!
Merry Christmas Gator Tailgating fans! Hopefully Santa fullfills our wishes on January 8th with a big win over Oklahoma and our second BCS Championship in 3 years!
