This 2-part article series is where a Gator fan and Sooner fan each ask each other 5 questions related to the big game. This is part 2 with the Sooner fan answering the Gator fan's questions.

1. Oklahoma is 0-4 in the last 4 BCS bowl games that they have played; Can Bob Stoops win the big game?

Yes, Big Game Bob may have been a misnomer in hindsight, however you have to recall he did win, and win big during his assistant coaching stints at Florida as a DC and, in his first head coaching job at Oklahoma he took the struggling Sooners (the '90s were not pretty) and took them to a bowl game (L. Ole Miss, Independence Bowl.), followed by a BCS title and Cotton Bowl and Rose Bowl victories.

Stoops' overall bowl record is 4-5 which is not bad, but in college football and in life people generally expect instant gratification. This can make it into a game of "what have you done for me lately."

Hopefully, time will be the ultimate judge of all that Bob Stoops has done for the Oklahoma program. So in short, yes, he can win the big game.

2. Why did Sam Bradford play in the fourth quarter for each of the following games: Cincinnati (52-26), Washington (55-14), TCU (35-10), Baylor (49-17), Kansas State (58-35), Texas Tech (65-21), Oklahoma State (61-41) and Missouri (62-21)?

Stoops usually leaves his starting QB in far too long, but in these cases he was in for only a series or two at most, the exceptions being Mizzou where the Sooners were battling Texas for "style" points, and they put up 21 in the fourth.

In every other case, even if Bradford was in, generally speaking OU was just running the clock out. The maximum points put up in the fourth throughout the season was, 10 points against Cincy, 7 against Washington, 7 against Baylor, 3 against Kansas State, and 7 against Texas Tech.

Bradford was essentially a hand-off machine for most of the season in the fourth when he was in.

3. If Bradford goes down, can Joey Halzle take the reins in the National Championship?
    
Absolutely he can. Now I can see where you are coming from here and I agree. Stoops doesn't give his backups enough real-game experience.

Also, I have my doubts that OU would run the no-huddle fast-break offense that Bradford runs so well if he were out, they would more than likely revert to the OU offense of last year which although a bit slower was still top ten nationally in scoring.

Halzle's one big-time game, which I am sure you are aware of, was the TTU game in 2007 where Bradford was knocked out on the first play (he came in for a second series and was promptly pulled, he also can't recall the game...at all).

Joey struggled to get into rhythm for the first half, then he calmed down and almost led OU to a come from behind victory, if the defense had been playing well and Crabtrees head wasn't on fire NFL blitz style then OU would have won.

His stat line for that game wasn't terrible, 21-41 291 yds, and 2 TD -1 INT.

4. Is "Boomer Sooner" actually what she said?

5. Can you attribute everything Bob Stoops' knows to his time at the University of Florida?

I have to admit he learned from the best from Spurrier, but his overall pedigree isn't too bad. He is a four-year starter and one-time All-Big Ten selection at defensive back at Iowa and one of the Big Ten's MVP's in 1982.

He started to coach under Hayden Fry at Iowa then moved on to Kansas State under Bill Snyder.

Then of course he took the Florida job to give a team with a potent offence a quality defense, which he did, culminating in the 1996 National title for UF with a victory over rival Florida State.
