Tebow Looked "Impressive" on Gators' Pro DayThu, 03/18/2010 - 10:56am — Rusty Someone bring in the clowns and the elephants because the swamp turned into a grey, rainy, cold circus today at Tim Tebow's pro day. By most accounts (except those of the haters), Tebow did some things that can only help improve his stock. According to scout.com writers and various sources on scene in Gainesville, Tebow's footwork and long slow looping motion have been corrected. Tebow's passes were clean and he hit recievers on various routes that even has a few scouts shaking their head in approval, according to Bob Redmond of FoxSports.com. While waiting to see if Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton would be in attendance, Tebow threw well, although seems to have developed a slight pause in his delivery. Not sure how that will effect his game at this point. Several NFL coaching icons were in attendance, including Mike Tomlin, Mike Holmgren, Tom Coughlin, and John Fox. The Bills and Seahawks have requested a private show this week in Gainesville where Tebow will get his game on for their eyes only. Various tweets from Bills fans were positive about the possibility of Tebow coming to Buffalo to jump start a once proud franchise. Former Bills legend Jim Kelly has already made it no secret that he is a big Tebow fan and loves his intangibles. The fact that Holmgren and Mangini were there seems to indicate interest from the Browns as well. For all his hard work, Tebow will still fight the uphill battle of suffering a terrible Senior Bowl game, and the onslaught on media criticism. I don't think Tebow did anything to hurt his game today and clearly may have helped. If I were a betting man, and the choices were win, lose, or push, I would say win, but there's still lots left to do. Tebow will be drafted as a QB by some team that will see enough in him to take him in the second or third round. This is a weaker year for QBs and that will help Tebow. Seems to me that I remember a guy from New England who was drafted in the sixth round a few years back whose name escapes me. Guess the draft genies didn't think much of him at the time either. Rus, I don't
Rus, I don't mind going back out on that limb once more, our boy goes in round 1 somewhere in the first 15 picks!!!! I said it, I stand by it, and I believe it. I dont see why people like Mike Mayock wont give him the same love that I think the NFL coaches will. You are a Great Guy Rusty, I think Tim goes in round 1 though.
