Kiffin Keeps Racking up Recruiting ViolationsSun, 06/07/2009 - 2:43pm — Rusty What is it about Kiffin and recruiting violations? Is he trying to beat the rest of the SEC for recruiting violations combined? Until this week, he had five self-reported secondary recruiting violations, and his sixth occured this morning on ESPN. In an attempt to steal the popular store's slogan of "See a softer side of Sears", Kiffin invited ESPN's Outside the Lines into his football complex at the University of Tennessee, his football offices, and his home to show his softer side. It was a public relations stunt to a different side of Kiffin from the personality that has raised such a ruckus nationwide. From calling Urban Meyer a cheater to saying kids that graduate from USC are going to pump gas for a living, from making fun of a small town in South Florida to calling out SEC coaches Saban and Miles; Kiffin has had no trouble in getting attention to the Universty of Tennessee, which he claims was all in his "master plan." This, however, was probably not in his master plan. Six recruiting violations in the same number of months as head coach? Some would claim it may be ignorance, but can it really be that when his resume states he was the recruiting coordinator at the University of Southern California? It seems like a lot more defiance than ignorance, and at best a mixture of the two. While the cameras were filming for ESPN's Outside the Lines, Kiffin was filmed in his office with two recruits talking, and it is a recruiting violation to have media present when a recruiting visit is in process. The rule is as follows:
Although it is a minor violation and nothing really that serious, it is when it's number six and counting. Unfortunately for Kiffin and the University of Tennessee, the counting doesn't seem to have an end in sight. Here's a link to the ESPN Video if you'd like to watch it. The violation occurs at 1:45 left in the video. Rusty Thompson is one of the founders of GatorTailgating.com |

Can he be that ignorant of
Can he be that ignorant of the rules? Holy Crap!
No, he just does it to piss
No, he just does it to piss you gator fans off!!
Okay, in 2007 Georgia had
Okay, in 2007 Georgia had 16. So, get over it. NuKeese Richardson and Marsalis Teague are gone. Move on. Seriously, we do consider it an honor that the national champs biggest rival is a 5-7 team that didn't play in a bowl game. lol. You guys are too much.
Look we do understand that the pressure is building. Matthews felt it when Meyer unloaded on him for not being a "good gator" lol. A "good gator." Matthews is in the media and this is America.
Kiffin is winning the recruiting battle and everyone knows what that means. This is florida's last stand. Enjoy it. They have been the beneficiary of UM and Free Shoes not splitting the talent pool for a decade. Now Tennessee is smoking all of them. Get ready. Go gator.
Deep down, you know what's coming.
He's smart enough to take
He's smart enough to take recruits from Urban Meyer, so now, who's the ignorant one? I'll trade a top recruit for a non-penal secondary violation any day. No one was crying about Georgia's 16 in 2007 because they weren't winning much. But, let Kiffin take recruits from Meyer over and over and over again and OOOHHHH man how ignorant he is.lol. c'mon Mike. Don't make me list UF's arrest record over the past 5 years tonight. Nobody's perfect. So, enjoy UF's last stand this year. And whatever you do, don't lose to Tennessee this year.
