GatorTailgating.com's Monster Garage: The Seahawks HawxBox

The Seahawks HawxBox

GatorTailgating.com will be hosting a series of weekly articles on Tailgating vehicle creations from fans across the country who have taken their pre-game festivities to the next level. We hope this inspires some of you Gator fans to build your own Tailgating Creations.

The Hawx Box is a 1987 Ford E350 Short Bus that was originally used by the Toppenish School District. A few guys (Loren Ellingson, Garth Conner, Tim Scheuffele and Dan Bruhn) went on Craigslist.org and found this fixer upper and decided that she needed to be flipped.

The crew took roughly 6-7 months to turn this once yellow bus, with a wheel chair lift and filthy interior, into The 'Hawx Box'. After gutting the whole inside leaving only the original dash column and steering wheel, the crew re-did the whole interior with new seats, carpeting, diamond plating, wheels and a professional paint job to boot. They even had vinyl logos custom designed for the bus with permission by the Seahawks and had one specially made with the web site URL on it as well.

After a lot of sweat, money and man hours, they kicked off the 2008 season tailgating in style. Although the bus was not complete, it was close enough to party out of. More will be added on each offseason to upgrade the bus, as they have already purchased an awning, new BBQ grill and more tailgating accessories for 2009. Check out the pictures below to see the before/after photos.

Thanks goes out to TailgateLot.com for the pictures and slideshow of HawxBox Bus.
