Gator Football Team Spreads the Wealth of Touches Against Citadel

The Gator offense rolled to another big day, tallying nearly 400 yards on the ground on the day against The Citadel Bulldogs.

Nine different players got into the endzone for Florida and Heisman candidate tossed three touchdown passes on just nine throws.

The Gator defense showed up to play early, with Janoris Jenkins picking off a pass on The Citadel's first drive.  Will Hill and Wondy Pierre-Louis also recorded interceptions during the contest.

Tebow connected with senior Louis Murphy on a 16 yard touchdown pass after Jenkins' interception.  He also completed a beautiful 31 yard touchdown pass to Deonte Thompson and a 43 yard touchdown pass to Riley Cooper.

Three different running backs scored touchdowns for the Gators.

The first was a seven yard carry up the middle by Chris Rainey.  Rainey also had a terrific 73 yard dash on the day and led the Gators with 142 yards rushing on just seven carries.

Senior Kestahn Moore also found the endzone twice, on a 22 yard carry and a two yard carry.

Percy Harvin scored on an 11 yard touchdown run and led the Gators in receiving with 76 yards on two catches, one of which was a 53 yard bomb from Tebow.

Emmanuel Moody also topped 100 yards rushing for the Gators, netting 116 yards on 13 carries with a five yard touchdown. 

Even senior defensive tackle Javier Estopinan got on the scoreboard during the Gators' senior day, scoring on a one yard touchdown run.

Backup quarterback John Brantley also completed a 12 yard touchdown pass to David Nelson late in the game.

All of The Citadel's scores came after the first string Florida defense was on the bench.

Florida improved to 10-1 overall.  The Gators won the SEC East with a 7-1 conference record and will face No. 1 Alabama in the SEC Championship Game on December 6th.

The Gators will face rival Florida State next week in Tallahassee.
