Despite the Gator Loss, Bourbon Meyer is the Drink of Champions

Image

In an astounding country butt whooping the magical ingredients of the Bourbon Meyer stomped Ole Miss’s Hot Toddy. The final score? 23-9!

Honestly, I don’t know what all the rage was about. The Hotty Toddy is simply an inferior combination of flavors. Just look at it on paper. Brandy? Really? How are you supposed to party with Brandy? Are we 80 yet? I’m pretty sure my grandparents party with brandy. Not to mention that the brandy of choice, so I’ve been told, is E&J.

When a Cup Isn't Enough!
The true reason the Bourbon Meyer wins is because of its simplicity and smooth flavors. If you take the 2 most southern drinks you can think of (bourbon and sweet tea), which are both delicious separately, and put them together correctly, you get something even greater. In the Hotty Toddy you have a combination of things that don’t generally taste great separately or if they do it is in slight moderation.

If you can’t give away alcohol to college students there is probably a problem with your formula. I have been told that the Hot Toddy does taste better warm, but seriously, this is Florida.
So this is a salute to all you tailGATORS out there. Win or Lose. We still booze!!
