Brandon Spikes Suspended for 1st Half of Vandy Game

SpikesCoach Meyer announced today that Senior Middle Linebacker Brandon Spikes will be suspended for the first half against Vanderbilt because of his behavior during a play against Georgia on Saturday. Spikes was caught on CBS cameras forcing his hand into Georgia Running Back Washaun Ealey's facemask during and after a play at Saturday's game.

As mulitiple videos on youtube surfaced, Meyer took quick action to speak to Spikes and punish him for the incident. Spikes is reportedly saying it was in response to a previous action where the Georgia player knocked his helmet off and was shoving him after the play.

I see where it's a full

I see where it's a full game now.  You know, they shouldn't be surprised at the negative publicity after it appeared that the last guy caught with pot that was suspended then reinstated in time for the big game.

You guys can be proud of your run, but the 24 +/- arrests with Meyer can't be something you're proud of.

Tebow has overshadowed the darker side of the team, it seems also that the heavy publicity he's received has sucked some of the chemistry from the team.  They just don't have the mojo they had last year.  It's like everyone is waiting for Tebow to do it all.  Versus Tennessee, it's clear he can't always do it all.  I'm predicting you route Alabama, but hope you don't face a power team with a good D in the championship game.  If you're there I hope you win.
